I got a typewriter-style keyboard for my birthday. The type you put your tablet onto, then use via Bluetooth. Chinese knock-off of the Qwerkywriter in a faux wood tone.
Unpacked it today, figured I might get some writing done, see how I like it.
It does not fit 13″ tablets like my Surface Pro 🙁
As it turns out, none of the knock-offs do, only the Qwerkywriter. Which is understandable, in some ways, but also the Querkywriter is $250 even on sale and I have a hard time justifying that for something I don’t know that I’d use regularly. I like to think I would, but I can’t guarantee it. It can’t easily be used with a wireless mouse, so it’d really just be for daily writing and I’m not really at a point where I can say I write daily.
I dunno. Maybe I’ll see if I can get into a good rhythm of writing again, then if I’m writing regularly get it as a reward closer to Thanksgiving/Christmas. Just a bit disappointed because I’d been looking forward to the geeky fun of the clacky keys.
